CanVECTOR and Thrombosis Canada are pleased to invite you to attend our 2025 joint conferences. The CanVECTOR Annual Conference will be held on Friday, October 24th, 2025 followed by the Thrombosis Canada Education Conference on October 25th, 2025. The programs feature Canadian and international thrombosis experts and others with complementary research expertise. The programs will be presented in-person only.

Friday, October 24, 2025 - CanVECTOR Program

We are now accepting applications for the CanVECTOR 2025 Annual Conference Abstract Competition.
Travel Awards
Once again, we are pleased to offer travel awards to support trainees and research coordinators / personnel attending the conference. We're simplified the process this year:
- Applications will be approved on a first-come basis.
- Award recipients will receive free registration and up to two nights of hotel accommodation.
- For applicants travelling from outside of Ontario, there may be additional travel funds available to be allocated to trainees on a case-by-case basis.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be a CanVECTOR member and/or be supervised by a CanVECTOR member.

Saturday, October 25, 2025 - Thrombosis Canada Program
Theme: Past, Present, and Future of Thrombosis Medicine
Co-chairs: Dr Jameel Abdulrehman & Dr Stephanie Carlin
Intended Audience:
Physicians, nurses and pharmacists involved in the management of patients with challenging medical or surgical conditions requiring personalized anticoagulant management.
Program Learning Objectives:
After completing this program, participants will be equipped to:
- Discuss how past evidence informs current management of thrombosis and where new evidence may lead us in future
- Apply evidence-informed treatment strategies for the management of venous and arterial thrombotic diseases
- Gain insights from expert discussions on special topics in thrombosis to optimize patient management and outcomes
